... Sly & the Family Stone fue una banda fundamental en la música de finales de los 60 y principios de los 70, todas las tendencias musicales y sociales se unían en Sly & the Family Stone, creando una brillante y salvaje fusión de Funk, Soul, Rock y Psicodelia.

... liderados por Sly Stone, the Family Stone estaba integrada por músicos negros y blancos, hombres y mujeres, siendo la primera banda multirracial que alcanzó el éxito en la historia de la música popular del siglo XX. Esta integración se vio reflejada en su música y en el mensaje de la banda, antes de Sly & the Family Stone, muy pocas bandas de Soul y R&B incluían comentarios políticos y sociales en sus letras, después de ellos esto se convirtió en una tradición en los posteriores interpretes de soul, funk y hip-hop.

El retorno de los Gallagher
