El término Cara-B derivó también en la denominación de los tipos de canciones que se incluían acompañando al single de éxito, canciones que no solían aparecer en el álbum, inéditos, versiones, rarezas, demos..., todo un aliciente para promocionar la venta del single.<br /><br />... hoy en Frekuenzia Aktiva escucharemos exactamente eso: Caras-B, desde unos cuantos singles de 7 pulgadas de grupos como <span style="font-weight:bold;">Franz Ferdinand</span>, <span style="font-weight:bold;">Jesus & Mary Chain</span> o <span style="font-weight:bold;">Sonic Youth</span>, Caras-B de vinilos de 12 pulgadas (conocidos por estos lares como "Maxi-singles"), y ampliando el concepto a la actualidad donde estas piezas de colección escasean, escucharemos rarezas, versiones alternativas, demos, etc, por ejemplo de uno de nuestros grupos favoritos: <span style="font-weight:bold;">Lagartija Nick</span>, que en su disco "Inercia" de 1992 incluía el tema con el que abriremos el programa de hoy: "Cara-B". La primera colaboración dio como resultado "Black Byrd" (1972), el disco en el que Byrd logra despegarse por completo de la sombra de Miles Davis para forjar su propia identidad musical, en la que fusionaría el Jazz con el Funk, el Soul y el Rhythm 'n' Blues.<br /><br />... este disco fue recibido como una tración por los puristas del Jazz, los críticos de la época descalificaron por completo al disco y al artista, y sin embargo el disco se convirtió en el más vendido en toda la historia de Blue Note.<br /><br /><br /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;" src="http://www.antonioelias.com/aktiva/imagenes/the_blackbyrds.jpg" border="0" alt="The Blackbyrds" title="The Blackbyrds" /><br /><br />... a continuación Byrd forma una banda llamada <span style="font-weight:bold;">The Blackbyrds</span> con alumnos de la Universidad de Howard, en Washington, donde impartía clases además de dirigir el Departamento de música negra, en el grupo se encontraban algunos de sus mejores alumnos: Kevin Toney (teclados), Keith Killgo (voces y batería), Joe Hall (bajo), Allan Barnes (saxo, y clarinete) y Barney Perry (guitarra).<br /><br />... El Glam Rock fue un fenómeno casi enteramente británico que llegó a ser extremadamente popular durante la primera mitad de los años 70.<br /><br />... el auténtico Glam era aparentemente bastante simple, rock de guitarras puesto en escena de manera casi teatral con ropajes andróginos, maquillaje y melodías pegadizas, con influencias del blues de los 50-60, sobre todo en la vertiente más sexual.<br /><br />... quizás el Glam comenzó con Marc Bolan y sus T. Rex en 1971 con el álbum "Electric Warrior", pero 1972 fue el año del descubrimiento masivo: T.
